"Lamb's Flower Haven," is a reference to my great-grandparents' flower nursery. After the loss of my grandmother, I found hundreds of photos of flowers and this nursery that I did not know about. This discovery left me with opposing feelings of connection and loss. As an artist, I have always been inspired by plants and their impact on our lives, through this I felt a new connection to my ancestors. I never had a chance to talk about this with my grandmother and now I realized I would have to continue on with all of my questions unanswered. These feelings sparked these new experimentations in collage through a submission to Brooklyn Art Library’s “The Sketchbook Project”.
